What is Individual Coaching? A coach is a thinking partner who listens deeply, asks thought provoking and clarifying questions, works with you to take action, holds you accountable for the actions you decide to take, and celebrates your successes with you. A coach helps you identify changes you desire to make and action steps that could help you make those changes. It is a partnership focused on you and your desired outcomes. A coach helps you focus on gaining clarity, envisioning an attainable future, setting goals, and creating a plan of action to achieve these goals. Coaching focuses on YOU and where you want to go. From coaching sessions you will discover your vision for yourself and your life, the obstacles standing in your way, and how you might meet the challenges and move forward toward your desired future! A coach will help you stay on track, and provide encouragement and support so that you feel empowered.

A coach helps you formulate specific learning desires, establish precise goal plans toward achieving desired results, and holds you accountable for the action plan you develop toward achieving those goals. A coach will assist you in various ways including:
Supporting you through listening, questioning and feedback;
Acting as a co-creator for solutions, strategy and ideas generation;
Being a trusted confidant who challenges, debates, influences and clarifies;
Assisting your skills development through innovative and strategic thinking; Partnering with you in the development of an appropriate plan; and
Acting as an accountability partner.
What Coaching is NOT Coaching is not therapy or counseling. Therapy focuses on analyzing and resolving past issues, or attempting to gain closure on past events. Counseling involves seeking assistance and guidance in resolving problems or difficulties, generally of a personal or psychological nature. Coaching is a partnership which focuses on the present, the future possibilities and goals set with actions you commit to take to move you toward your goals.
How Does The Coaching Process Work? The coach and individual typically talk by phone for 50 – 60 minutes on a regular basis. This is often bi-weekly or monthly, depending upon the nature of the engagement. Catrese provides flexible coaching options that work with your particular needs. There are 6, 9, and 12 session packages, or an unlimited number of individual coaching sessions. The customary engagement is 12 sessions, as initial outcomes can typically be achieved in that timeframe. A session is defined as a coaching meeting/call that is 50 – 60 minutes in duration. Short (laser) calls or emails can be accommodated without additional cost.
To assure that Catrese's coaching approach is appropriate for individuals, and that you are comfortable with Catrese, she offers a trial session to evaluate the potential opportunity to work together.
